Shaping Recycled Blanks with Cole and Timmy Patterson

Waste to Waves helped some 7th Graders collect a mountain of recycled EPS foam over the holidays. These same kids got to work with famous shapers, Cole and Timmy Patterson, to make some boards. The kids are from St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano, and they are doing a science project on eco-friendly surfboards for the Quiksilver Science Challenge. Building these boards out of recycled Marko Foam blanks is the culmination of their project. The boards will also be glassed with Entropy Resin made from 20% biological recycled content.
